The Underground Path connects the north western and south western parts of Goldenrod City.
Layout
The first part of the Underground consists of the underground passage itself along with 2 buildings at either end of the path and a hidden passage behind a faux wall that leads to the Team Rocket Warehouse.
The second portion contains half of the Team Rocket Warehouse. Inside are multiple doors and switches forming a maze. You battle your Rival for the first time here.
The third portion contains the remainder of the Team Rocket Warehouse. This is where Team Rocket has been keeping the Radio Tower Director. Also there is access to the Goldenrod Department Stores's Basement.
The final portion of the Underground is the Goldenrod Department Store's Basement. The basement is accessible anytime upon reaching Goldenrod City via the Dept. Store's Elevator, or, after rescuing the Radio Tower Director, from the Team Rocket Warehouse. Within the basement is a group of workers and their Machoke. While you aren't there they are constantly moving the boxes around causing more portions of the basement(and thus more items) to become available.
