Route 39 Map

Route 39 is a route in northwestern Johto. This route connects Route 38 to the east and Olivine City to the south.

Geography

Route 39 is almost perfectly straight and has no major obstacles. There is only one patch of grass that contains wild Pokémon, and this area is located off the beaten path.

Along Route 39, there are four Trainers: one near the entrance to MooMoo Farm and three near the southern end of the route.

All of the items on Route 39 are concentrated near MooMoo Farm. Outside of the farm, a Berry tree contains a Mint Berry. Inside of the farm, the player can purchase Moomoo Milk and obtain TM13 (Snore) upon restoring the farm's Miltank to full health by feeding it a large number of Berries.

Moo Moo Farm

The MooMoo Farm is a small farm located on Route 39. It contains a small paddock where Miltank graze, a barn house, and another house where the owners live. The paddock is located on the south side of the farm, where four Miltank peacefully graze all day. In the barn, lives a sick Miltank named MooMoo. Two children try to nurse the sick Pokémon, but nothing seems to work. If the player gives MooMoo seven ordinary Berries, it will gradually get better. In the building next to the barn is the house where the family who owns the farm lives. It contains two farmers, a man and a woman. The man will sell MooMoo Milk to the player for 500 after MooMoo returns to health. The woman will reward the player with TM13 (Snore. In total there are five Miltank that appear on the farm.

Hidden Grotto

Located on the western side of the route it is one of the 4 grottos that can be accessed after clearing the Sudowoodo Tree on Route 36.
