Trainer Tower
Trainer Tower is a facility located on Tower Straits, north of Seven Island, on Quest Island in the Sevii Islands. T It is similar to the Battle Tower in that Trainers can be challenged in a variety of different battle types consecutively over a number of floors to reach the top; though the key concept of Trainer Tower is speed. Each battle mode has a default time and if beaten, offers a rare in-game item as a reward that can be obtained repeatedly by challenging the Tower again. Unlike Battle Towers, the player's Pokémon will not be healed between battles, though recovery items such as Revives and Potions can be used both during and between battles. If necessary, the player can return to the entrance to heal their party at the Pokémon Center, though this will waste more time in comparison to using items.
Battles conducted in Trainer Tower do not award experience or money. The level of the Pokémon used by Trainers will also match the player's highest-leveled Pokémon.
Trainer Hill, a location that shares many similarities with Trainer Tower, exists in Hoenn.
Modes
There are 4 possible modes for challenging the tower:
Single: Each floor has one trainer to beat with 2 Pokémon.
Double: Each floor has two trainers to beat in a single battle with a combined 2 Pokémon. (These will be converted to double battles if those are implemented in the future.)
Knockout: Each floor has three trainers with one Pokémon each that need to be battled consecutively.
Mixed: Each floor uses one of the other three modes: 1-3 Single; 4,5,7 Double; 6,8 Knockout.
Default Scores
Each mode has a pair of existing times to beat. The High score holder is someone who participated in the QA of the Tower and the low score holder are people who had been developers at some point before the point where the tower was released.
Mode | High Score (seconds) |
Holder | Low Score (seconds) |
Holder |
---|---|---|---|---|
Single | 483 | Lexichu | 932 | Aragas |

Knockout | 731 | AscendedVanilla | 1428 | Nilllzz |
Mixed | 649 | JappaWakka | 1356 | Darkfire |
Rewards
At the top of the tower the owner of the tower will evaluate your time and give you a reward based on that time for each mode. If you manage to set a new record for all 4 modes you will rewarded with a special Dreepy that has 8x chance of being shiny instead of the normal prize for setting a record in that mode.
Unless stated otherwise, all levels in this chart are of Difficulty 0.
