Underwater Cave is, as the name implies, a cave that is underwater. Specifically it's main entrance is entirely submerged and there is no indication that the cave exists from the surface. Without knowing the exact location to go to with the Empty Sea Map the cave would be nigh impossible to find. Deep in the back of the cave can be found a Manaphy egg. This location is original to Pokemon 3D.

Geography

Exterior

The ferry stopped in the Open Sea above the cave entrance.

When the Seagallop Ferry drops the player off they will be in the middle of the Open Sea on a temporary floating platform. If they attempt to surf too far from the boat they will be called back to avoid getting lost at sea. There is a portion of the sea floor that is open and relatively smooth just outside the cave that allows for easy access. Many Pokémon are visible from this area. The entrance to the cave is a narrow path into the rockface that ends in a space to dive up into the main cave.

Interior

The first access point is high on the south side of the cave, where the dive spot surfaces in a small pool. To the west of the pool there are stairs that dead end in front of a ledge. The pool flows off a waterfall to the north into another small pool. This time down stairs to the west of this pool is a large pool of lava, boulders are scattered around the area making a strength puzzle where rocks can be used to make brides over the lava. at the south end before the puzzle is the other side of the earlier ledge for access back to the initial dive spot. at the north end of the lava is a small chamber that is mostly lava but on the one path sticking into the lava is the Cameruptite.

Back at the second pool of water there are also stairs leading down to the east. These lead to another small pool below a waterfall. Crossing the pool will access some stairs and a small strength puzzle. Climbing the waterfall will lead to another waterfall back down to a very large pool of water. The pool of water, besides 2 small landings in the corners, has a dive spot. At the bottom of the dive spot is a mostly round space where a Manaphy egg can be found along the south wall.
