Violet City
is a city located in central Johto that can be accessed from Route 31 to the east, Route 36 to the northwest, or Route 32 to the south. It is the third city encountered in Johto by the player.

Sprout Tower is a three story training area. Its middle pillar is the stem of a 100-foot tall Bellsprout.
Pokémon Gym
Violet City houses the first Pokémon Gym in the Johto region. The leader is Falkner, a trainer who specializes in Flying type Pokémon.
Demographics
Violet City has a known population of 28 (including people in the Gate, Sprout Tower, and employees). The number is uncertain due to a lack of houses that can be entered.
