Dark Cave is a single level cave in eastern Johto that connects Route 31 and Route 46. It's not necessary to enter the cave to complete the storyline. As the name implies, the cave is indeed very dark. The player's line of sight is obscured when they're in this area.
The cave itself cannot be explored at the moment, as an extra cliff was inserted to prevent going very far inside.
Geography
The only part of the cave the player can look in yields many rocks and cliffs, the area the player can walk in is relatively flat.
