Route 40 is a route in southwestern Johto. This route connects Olivine City to the east and Route 41 to the south.
Geography
This route consists of a small amount of land that is dwarfed in proportion by the surrounding ocean. All that a Trainer must do is head south, towards the Whirl Islands, defeating a few Trainers along the way. The Pokémon selection in this route is equally bland, comprising only of the most commonly appearing sea route Pokémon: Tentacool and Tentacruel.
