Mt. Ember is a dormant volcano on Knot Island (A.K.A One Island), Volcanion lives high atop this behemoth mountain, which was named for the embers that are visible at night due to the legendary pokemon. It is also home to the Light Stone
Geography
Mt. Ember can be traversed as soon as the player has arrived on Knot Island, provided the required HMs have been taught. After Surfing north of the Ember Spa, a Hiker will offer to give the player TM 84 Explosion. A cave entrance will be blocked off to the right.
Further up the mountain, Rock Smash and Strength allow access to a network of caves which lead to the Legendary Pokémon Volcanion. After the National Pokédex has been obtained, the rock blocking the cave will be cleared and N will take it's place. If the player first speaks with N at the Dotted Hole on Fortune Island the player will be able to go all the way to the bottom of the cave and retrieve the Light Stone. If not N will beat them to the stone. It is found in a room with a Braille inscription; the previous room gives a letter-by-letter translation aid. By continuing along the pathway (only one way until B3F where the path splits), the player will find that the cave is in fact circular, and they will be back at the entrance.
