Faraway Island is an island far from Kanto. It is roughly in the Sevii Islands, away south of Knot Island. It is the habitat of the Mythical Pokémon Mew.
Geography
The island can be accessed once the Old Sea Map is shown to the navigator of the Seagallop Ferry. The Island is split in to 2 sections, the exterior which starts as a rocky coast with the old dock before climbing to the outside of a forested section, and the interior section which is a small grotto where the Mythical Pokémon Mew can be found.
On the island is a sign with old, fading writing dated the 6th day of a month. This month ends in "ber", suggesting any of the four final months of the year.
