Pewter City is a city located in northwest Kanto. It connects to Viridian Forest via Route 2 to the South, and Mt. Moon via Route 3 to the east. It contains the Pewter Gym, home of Rock Trainer, Brock, and the the Boulder Badge.

Pewter Museum
The Pewter Museum contains a number of exhibits on outer space and fossils. The back section of the Museum is reserved for researchers, including a person studying reviving fossils and a person who studies radio signals. The radio signals researcher will determine that the "Mysterious Transmission" is coming from some where on Five Island of the Sevii Islands and arrange for the player to be transported there.
Pewter Gym
The Pewter Gym is the official Gym of Pewter City. It is based on Rock-type Pokémon. The Gym Leader is Brock. Trainers that defeat him receive the Boulder Badge. When the player first arrives in Pewter City Brock is not in the gym but returns after the player speaks to the radio signals researcher in the museum.
