Diagonal Movement is an unused option in Pokémon 3D that allows the player to move in eight different directions as opposed to four (Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, and Southeast). The option can be switched on by accessing the player's player.dat file and finding the DiagonalMovement line. Then, change the 0 to a 1 to turn it on.

Diagonal Movement allows for getting to places quicker, but it's rather buggy. In some cases, the player may clip into a wall. It's not recommended to use diagonal movement when the player is moving up a ramp (like in TestLevel), or triggering events that involve compulsory movement or camera change.
