Overgrow

Overgrow is an ability associated with Grass-type starter Pokémon. Powers up Grass-type moves when the Pokémon is in trouble.

Effects

When a Pokémon with Overgrow has less than 1/3 of their HP remaining, their grass attacks will do 1.5x damage.

Trivia

• Before all abilities were added, Overgrow was used as the default ability, taking the place of the Pokémon's real ability. It is still possible to find Pokémon from earlier versions of the game with Overgrow in place of their intended ability.
