The day/night cycle in Pokémon 3D is the real-time cycle and is set after the clock of the computer the game is executed on or the clock of the server if you're playing on one. There are four different phases that appear at different times: Night, Morning, Day, and Evening.

Current Season

All seasons are estimated and not exact. It might be different. When playing locally, the current season changes every week.

There is also a special version of this phase, called aurora borealis. In 1 out of 250 cases this occurs. It adds aurora effects to the sky.

Morning

 Morning.png 5 AM - 9 AM In the morning, the clouds are muted white and the sky is light blue. This is the first phase where the sun is visible.

Day

 Daytime.png 9 AM - 6 PM The day has a bright blue sky with bluish-white clouds. The sun is visible.

Evening

 Evening.png 6 PM - 10 PM In the evening, sky has more purple-ish shades and the moon starts showing up.

Effects

Visually

The sky texture changes with the time. Also, the world is slightly darker when it's not Day.

Pokémon

Some Pokémon can only be found at a specific time of the day. For example, Hoothoot can only be found at night.
