The day/night cycle in Pokémon 3D is the real-time cycle and is set after the clock of the computer the game is executed on. There are four different phases that appear at different times: Morning, Day, Evening, and Night.
The phases
There are set times when time phases change.
Effects
Visually
The sky and skycolor changes with the time. Also, the world is darker at night.
Pokémon
Some Pokémon can only be found at a specific time of the day. For example, Hoothoot can only be found at night.
List of Pokemon which ones evolves at certain time of day
At day
- Budew into Roselia with 220 or higher happiness.
- Eevee into Espeon with 220 or higher happiness.
- Riolu into Lucario with 220 or higher happiness.
- Tyrunt into Tyrantrum at level 39 or higher.
At night
- Amaura into Aurorus at level 39 or higher.
- Chingling into Chimecho with 220 or higher happiness.
- Eevee into Umbreon with 220 or higher happiness.
- Gligar into Gliscor while holding Razor Fang.
- Sneasel into Weavile while holding Razor Claw.
Trainer's Tip
- It's always night in Lavender Town.
