Register.dat

Register.dat is an essential document within the Pokémon 3D savefiles. The document stores the event flag that has been triggered. Flags controls not only plot progress, but also all trainer fights.

Guide

In the file, every flag is seperated by a comma. Note: Some flags are exclusive to others, and should not be used simutaneously. Also, the game will crash if the sequential rival flags doesn't match. Currently available flags are below, in chronological order (they need not to be in the exact order in the save, though):

mom_wait	Has talked to mom.
elm0	Has talked to Professor Elm.
elm1	Has talked to Professor Elm.
pokemongot	After chosen your starter.
starter1	Choose Chikorita as your starter. This affects what starter your rival will have. Should not be used together with starter2 or starter3.
starter2	Choose Cyndaquil as your starter. This affects what starter your rival will have. Should not be used together with starter1 or starter3.
starter3	Choose Totodile as your starter. This affects what starter your rival will have. Should not be used together with starter1 or starter2.
elm2	After chosen your starter. Cleared after you obtained the potion from the researcher.
elm3	After you obtained the potion from the researcher. Cleared after you returned the Mystery Egg to Professor Elm.
mom_adventure1	After chosen your starter. Cleared after you returned the Mystery Egg to Professor Elm.
oldguide	After being navigated by the guide.
apricorninstruction	After talking to the man in the Berry House on Route 30.
get_egg_mrpokemon	After you get the Mystery Egg from Mr. Pokemon.
rival_encounter_cherrygrove	After you get the Mystery Egg from Mr. Pokemon. Cleared after the rival battle at Cherrygrove City.
trainer_rival_0_grass	After defeating your grass starter rival at Cherrygrove City. Should not be used together with trainer_rival_0_fire or trainer_rival_0_water.
trainer_rival_0_fire	After defeating your fire starter rival at Cherrygrove City. Should not be used together with trainer_rival_0_grass or trainer_rival_0_water.
trainer_rival_0_water	After defeating your water starter rival at Cherrygrove City. Should not be used together with trainer_rival_0_grass or trainer_rival_0_fire.
elm_police	fter defeating your rival at Cherrygrove City. Cleared after talking to the police at Elm Lab.
elm4	After you returned the Mystery Egg to Professor Elm.
mom_talk	After you returned the Mystery Egg to Professor Elm. Cleared after you visited your mom with Mystery Egg delivered.
elm5	After you returned the Mystery Egg to Professor Elm. Cleared after recieving Pokeballs from the researcher.
mom_adventure2	After you visited your mom with Mystery Egg delivered.
trainer_30001	After defeating the first trainer in Route 30.
trainer_30002	After defeating the second trainer in Route 30.
trainer_30003	After defeating the third trainer in Route 30.
trainer_31001	After defeating the trainer in Route 31.
trainer_sprout001	After defeating the first trainer in Bellsprout Tower.
trainer_sprout002	After defeating the second trainer in Bellsprout Tower.
trainer_sprout003	After defeating the third trainer in Bellsprout Tower.
trainer_sprout004	After defeating the fourth trainer in Bellsprout Tower.

trainer_rival\rival_1_water	After defeating your water starter rival at Azalea City. Should not be used together with trainer_rival\rival_1_grass and trainer_rival\rival_1_fire.
rival_encounter_azalea	After encounting the rival in Azalea City.
trainer_azalea_gym\001	After defeating the right twin in Azalea Gym. If the player defeated the left twin, this will be obtained after the Azalea Gym leader has been defeated.
trainer_azalea_gym\002	After defeating the left twin in Azalea Gym. If the player defeated the right twin, this will be obtained after the Azalea Gym leader has been defeated.
trainer_azalea_gym\003	After defeating the third trainer in Azalea Gym.
