Pokémon Move/Fling

Fling (Japanese: なげつける Throw) is a damage-dealing Dark-type move.

Effect

The power of Fling is determined by the held item. The move will fail if the user has no held item, or if the item is not one listed below. After using Fling, the item disappears--this can be problematic if Fling throws an item that can only be obtained once.

If the user hits its opponent with a Berry, the effect of the Berry will be activated. Additionally, some items will cause other effects when used with Fling:

Mental Herb	Cures Infatuation
Poison Barb	Poisons the target
Razor Fang	Causes the target to Flinch

White Herb	Fixes stat loss on the target

An effect that prevents a Pokémon from using items will prevent the use of Fling; such as Embargo and Klutz.
