Evolution

Evolution is the process by which a Pokémon undergoes a special type of metamorphosis after achieving some task. The only method of evolution currently is leveling up. While evolving a Pokémon will cause their stats to boost, they will learn moves at a much slower rate.

Evolutions

• Bulbasaur will evolve into Ivysaur at level 16.
• Ivysaur will evolve into Venusaur at level 36.
• Squirtle will evolve into Wartortle at level 16.
• Wartortle will evolve into Blastoice at level 36.
• Caterpie will evolve into Metapod at level 7.
• Metapod will evolve into Butterfree at level 10.
• Weedle will evolve into Kakuna at level 7.
• Kakuna will evolve into Beedrill at level 10.
• Pidgey will evolve into Pidgeotto at level 18.
• Pidgeotto will evolve into Pidgeot at level 36.
• Rattata will evolve into Raticate at level 20.

Trivia

• Professor Elm specializes in Pokémon evolution.
• Before the 0.18 patch, Hoppip could evolve into Pidgey at level 4.
