Route 36 is route in central Johto connecting Route 37, Violet City, and National Park. The northern entrance to the Ruins of Alph is located at eastern end of the route. The route also contains a shortcut to Route 35.

Sudowoodo
There is a Sudowoodo blocking the path in Route 36. This is the only Sudowoodo in the game. It can be battled only when you have received the Squirt Bottle from Goldenrod City.
